Yesterday, I had the smallest little newborn that has visited me.  She was born 3 weeks early weighing only 2.1 kg (4.63pounds) and at the time of her visit she was  one week old, and weighed less than 2 Kg.  Perfect little angel who is loved not only by her mummy and daddy, but also three big brothers,  whom I have had the pleasure of photographing only 18 months ago .

In Chinese culture, a newborn baby and their mummy are not allowed to leave home for at least 30 days (sometimes 40 days), so when I got the call from mum that her little girl had arrived we booked the session for Day 31 .  Even though she was over 4 weeks old she behaved beautifully and the results were devine.

Today, I had the opportunity to show all the images to mum, grandma (who has come for a visit from China) and even her great aunt.  I wish I could have captured their joy and happiness when they saw all the images, it brought a tear to my eyes to be able to make them glee with joy.

Wow, it’s been such a long time since I updated our blog.  I must say, the last 3 months have been so busy and have just flown by.  As some of you may have already guessed, one of the reasons that I have been absent is, in addition to the extra heavy workload, I have spent many hours organising and putting together our stand for the Baby and Toddler Show.  All the hard work was definitely worth it  as the stand looked great and we had an amazing 3 days.  We met so many lovely mums , expectant mums, gorgeous little babies and cute little toddlers.

In addition to the show specials, we were also running a competition for a Portrait Session, including a 20×24″ Canvas and 3 Matted 8×10″ prints, and are happy to announce the winner of the competition has been drawn and will be contacted later this week.  So unfortunately if you don’t hear from us by the end of the year, it means you have missed out this time, but there is always next week.   Although we will be contacting you with a fabulous post-show offer that is too good to walk away from .

I met the loveliest little girl today who is just under 5 weeks old and she was just adorable.  It’s not unusual for me to meet little babies with lots of hair, but I hardly ever meet one with this much blond hair and it looked like she had just had it coloured and styled just for me.    She was a little angel and slept the majority of the time, but I must say I was surprised by how alert and aware of her surroundings she was when she was awake!  Even though I have lots of sleeping shots to hose from, I just can’t go past this image from session today and had to share it.  Look at those beautiful blue eye, looking straight at you!

I had a fun maternity session today, with a gorgeous mum-to-be (well she is already a mum as this is second time around) and I know she can’t wait to see the photos, so here are just a couple!   I can’t believe she is 34 weeks pregnant!

I love Fridays, I know every person reading this post probably feels the same, but I especially love the third Friday of every month.  Why, you ask? Well, on the third Friday of every month, I get to sit down and spend two hours with likeminded business mums, over coffee and pastry discussing our businesses, sharing our little (or big) triumphs, and solving each other’s business related questions.

About 8 months ago, I was contacted by Alli Price, from Motivating Mums, to see if I wanted to join her Melbourne City Businessmum’s Club.  At first, I wasn’t sure, so she offered me a trial session so I went, and since that first session, I have not looked back.  I have met some of the most intelligent, sharing and lovely women and I wanted to thank Alli for organising such a wonderful and successful group.  In addition to the Businessmums Clubs, Motivating Mums, organises many  networking events and mentoring opportunities, but instead of me telling you all about it, you should check it out for yourselves on Motivating Mum’s website.

And just because I can’t have a post without a photo, here is one from a shoot last year.

By now you all know in November I became a very proud aunty, and have already seen plenty of her newborn photos, but many of my friends have requested to see photos of her awake.  Yesterday, when the little angel came over for a visit I took the opportunity to take a couple of photos of her wake (and asleep, but that’s another story).  She has the deepest, most beautiful brown eyes and all I can say is, Bambi eat your heart out!

A cute little girl visited me in the studio yesterday.  At nearly five weeks, she was just a precious little angel and perfect little model, with beautiful blond hair.

I know, today is day 18, but I missed posting this beautiful little boy who visited me yesterday.  Such a sweetie and great model, and at 3 weeks, I was surprised he slept like a brand new baby.

 Day 16

I must say, I am as happy as pig in mud tonight .  I spent my morning with a sweet little baby boy, and in the afternoon I got a visit from another sweet little baby boy I had a pleasure of meeting a couple of weeks ago.  So all in all I got lot’s of cuddles.  How I manage not to get clucky is beyond me .  So tonight I am sharing one of the handsome little one I photographed this morning.
