I had a fun maternity session today, with a gorgeous mum-to-be (well she is already a mum as this is second time around) and I know she can’t wait to see the photos, so here are just a couple!   I can’t believe she is 34 weeks pregnant!

Day 20

I love Fridays, I know every person reading this post probably feels the same, but I especially love the third Friday of every month.  Why, you ask? Well, on the third Friday of every month, I get to sit down and spend two hours with likeminded business mums, over coffee and pastry discussing our businesses, sharing our little (or big) triumphs, and solving each other’s business related questions.

About 8 months ago, I was contacted by Alli Price, from Motivating Mums, to see if I wanted to join her Melbourne City Businessmum’s Club.  At first, I wasn’t sure, so she offered me a trial session so I went, and since that first session, I have not looked back.  I have met some of the most intelligent, sharing and lovely women and I wanted to thank Alli for organising such a wonderful and successful group.  In addition to the Businessmums Clubs, Motivating Mums, organises many  networking events and mentoring opportunities, but instead of me telling you all about it, you should check it out for yourselves on Motivating Mum’s website.

Day 18

By now you all know in November I became a very proud aunty, and have already seen plenty of her newborn photos, but many of my friends have requested to see photos of her awake.  Yesterday, when the little angel came over for a visit I took the opportunity to take a couple of photos of her wake (and asleep, but that’s another story).  She has the deepest, most beautiful brown eyes and all I can say is, Bambi eat your heart out!

Day 18

A cute little girl visited me in the studio yesterday.  At nearly five weeks, she was just a precious little angel and perfect little model, with beautiful blond hair.

Day 17

I know, today is day 18, but I missed posting this beautiful little boy who visited me yesterday.  Such a sweetie and great model, and at 3 weeks, I was surprised he slept like a brand new baby.

 Day 16

I must say, I am as happy as pig in mud tonight .  I spent my morning with a sweet little baby boy, and in the afternoon I got a visit from another sweet little baby boy I had a pleasure of meeting a couple of weeks ago.  So all in all I got lot’s of cuddles.  How I manage not to get clucky is beyond me .  So tonight I am sharing one of the handsome little one I photographed this morning.

Day 15

Print orders done, two cards designed and sent for proofing, one session ready for viewing tomorrow…. oops fogot about post for today and it’s way past my bed time!  Well here is one I was working on tonight, it features my favourite prop of the moment .

Day 12

You know sometimes, you see something behind a shop window and fall in love, and I mean really fall in love?  Well a couple months ago now I attended the pre-opening launch of a new store, Kids Style Hub, in Hawthorn.  On the night I saw this absolutely gorgeous dress that would have been perfect my youngest daughter, and I fell in love, but unfortunately I was unable to purchase it that night.  So the following Saturday, I made a special trip to the store and bought the dress before it was gone.   I have had so many compliments about this dress and everyone is always asking me where I found it so I thought I’d share it with you.  Firstly the dress is made by an Australian designer, Miss Mienna, who has the most gorgeous dresses for little girls.  You can find her dresses, and many other Australian and NZ designer’s clothing, accessories, homewares, art, toys and even book a photographer at this new fantastic child friendly store in Hawthorn, Kid Style Hub.  In addition to all the beautiful children, baby and maternity items you can peruse, they also have a picnic room at the back so it’s perfect for you and your friends to  organise a play date, and also indulge in a little retail therapy.

I almost forgot, if you are one of my wonderful clients, you may even see a picture of your kids (or family) in the digital frame I have on display there.

Day 11

When I started this little project, it looked like I was going to have a typical January, nice and quiet, spent mostly with family as I did not have too many bookings, so I had a long list of topics I was planning to blog about.  Well, of course, things never go to plan and now it looks like my January is going to be more busy than December was!  However, I am still determined to continue this project, it just means my posts may be quick and sweet ones, with lots of them of the little babies and newborns I will be meeting.

Today I had a session with an eight week old baby, which I don’t often get in studio, and just like the little 7 week old baby I photographed early this week, he was such a sweet little baby who loved the camera.
